Archeological museum

The exhibition covers an area of 400 square meters and includes monuments from prehistoric, ancient and medieval times.

On November 18, 1898 through Written Statement Nr. 9 the Teachers' Council of the State Pedagogical School made a decision on establishing a Museum.

Copy of the Roman chariot

Especially attractive are the copy of the Roman chariot from III century
and the layout of the medieval Drastar.

The Ethnographic Museum - Silistra is an institution with a long-standing tradition in protecting, preservation and study of the material and spiritual culture of Dobrudzha people.

The Turkish fort Abdul Medhidi, or the so-called Medhidi Tabia Fortress, is located south of Silistra.

THE MEDIEVAL DRUSTER,
Episcopal and Patriarchal Basilica (IX-XIV c .) and Residence (X c.)

South of the north wall, after the adoption  of Christianity, in the second half of IX c. an imposing temple was erected. As an architectural plan it was a three-nave basilica with a narthex and three apses.

During the time of Emperor Diocletian or Constantine I the Great (late III or early IV c.)  a castle was built on the banks of the Danube to strengthen the defense of the Danube limes.
